Sudden Squall from Tropical Storm


Tropical Storm Nuri has moved past Hong Kong. While a realitively mild T3 storm, and now moving away over the coast of China with clearing skies, there are still sudden high wind squalls dumping heavy rain for a few minutes over the Typhoon Shelter. Aberdeen, Hong Kong Island South

Thunder Storm in Aberdeen Harbour



A very early morning thunderstorm caused the loss of electrical power aboard Watermark.  Waiting for it to be restored, we had breakfast and first cups of coffee of the day at the Aberdeen Boat Club.

My ride is here



Sampan.  Sort of a water taxi.  It's how we move around from boat to shore or boat to boat in the Typhoon Shelter.  These guys are part of a team of Dragon Boat paddlers on the way to practice who stopped to pick me up.
